		<description>I&#039;m &quot;reading&quot; it too. Which means that I am 1/2 to 2/3 done and haven&#039;t picked it up in a month. The African talking drums chapter convinced me to buy the book. It&#039;s good, but gets heady. I don&#039;t know my logarithms, so that&#039;s where I got lost. 

Gleick does a great job of making &quot;the history of information&quot; actually interesting by tracing it through the lives of various key characters.</description>
