The undersea lines remind me of the first undersea transatlantic telegraph line (a feat that took many tries), and how far things have come.
I know its still somewhat common to hear people talk about the “fake or virtual” world and the “real” world. But there’s something fascinating about these maps that helps illustrate my often-made point that there really isn’t a separation.
